Background
Since early 1990s BOST was one of the leaders in machine-tools sales, service and applications in Slovakia with a few hundred machines installed. BOST was one of the first companies to introduce CNC machines, Fanuc operating system, etc. to Slovakia and provided training to hundreds of professionals.
Machine park
Production or Manufacturing Division of BOST started up in 2006 with the help of EU funds and under the supervision of our group of application engineers and 6 CNC machines. In 2008 and 2009 BOST increased its machine park to ca. 13 CNC machines inhouse and 4 machines rented to other companies. Inhouse machines currently include:
7 x CNC lathe, 2-7 axis with barloads
1 x CNC swiss-type lathe - 9 axis
4 x VMC with tables 500-1050 mm, 3-4 axis
1 x VMC, 5 axis
Equipment, measuring, CAD/CAM
BOST meets ISO 9001 standards and is further equipped with
WENZEL CMM machine for measuring parts upto 1,5m long
Electrox industrial laser for marking of parts
various CAD/CAM software, incl. EdgeCam, AlphaCam, TopSolid, with possibility to work virtually with all the available data formats.
Customers, series, materials used
We work for quite a few producers, which are mainly active in electronics, hydraulics, machine-building and automotive industries; they come from Germany, Switzerland, US, Austria, Italy, Czech and Slovak republic.
The batches include special parts produced as single units for example for machine-building industry upto high-volume series in 10.000+ pcs/month for example for hydraulic industry.
Materials include common types of steel, aluminium, copper, and special steel used in aerospace or automotive and in some cases cutting of plastic materials.
